I always bring my own lunch to work. It’s cheaper , better for your health and more delicious. I usually always take the same thing; deliciously ella’s cucumber-hazelnut quinoa or a salad. But a little while ago I felt like trying something different. Something new. I came up with this recipe on a whim but it tastes so good I’ve made it several times, since. I used to love peanut butter cups when I was living in New Orleans. Justin’s dark chocolate were my favorite vegan ones and the fact that they sold them at Starbucks on campus made my coffee fix better every time.

A little while ago, I let go of some people that had played a big role in my life. It wasn’t that they did something to hurt me. It was just that, over time, I started to realize they were adding more negativity than joy to my life. While this was definitely the right thing to do, letting go of people who you have been around for a long time is taxing. Over time you learn to identify yourself by the people you hang out with. You start wondering whether you were a bitch for no longer investing time and effort into someone who didn’t purposely hurt you and who’s been with you for so long. I’ve been living in a strange state these weeks.
I’ve got so many ideas running through my head. Projects to start here on my blog, things to do photography-wise, new things to cook, ideas for books (!). I want to start them all. I want to have the time to write a book. To be able to put all my creativity and effort into creating some wonderful piece of imagination that helps people. Makes them smile.
Sometimes, you lose connections. Connections to places and people. You were once tied to them by an almost unbreakable string. But the string has snapped.
You stepped outside their comfort zone to develop your own mind, person and spirit. Yours is simply changing. Taking on different shapes and different colors.
Last Saturday, I went to a potluck. We ate, as you always do at a vegan potluck, we made music, danced around, did card readings and talked, a lot. But still, this time was different. Time flew by. I was with a group of people so inspiring, positive and connected to their souls I couldn’t help but leave feeling more energized, inspired and joyful.
